And The Page Is Never Done

I recently listened to a Jack Welch audio What Makes a Leader? (Unabridged) Jack talks about finishing a page for one of his books where he actually rewrote the page 32 times. I guess you can call that excellence. We all know of Jack Welch’s leadership and how General Electric became a world player under him.

There is no doubt that Jack Welch was an accomplished leader and businessman, but what made him exceptional was his passion for excellence, not only for himself , he tolerated nothing less from those he led.

Excellence comes from preparation, the successful always review and re review prior to any appointment, they are constantly tweaking their listing presentation and their systems to make them operate more efficiently. They go the extra mile for their customers, their team and of course themselves.

A the leader your page is never done, it is always up to you to make sure that your team has taken care of the small details simply because the buck stops at the end of your page.
