Ever noticed how people love to complain about what they don’t have instead of making do with what they do have? People who excel in their careers usually are not even aware of what they don’t have because they are focused on the prize.
During the American Revolution General Charles Cornwallis the commanding General of the British forces had a General complain to him regarding the lack of supplies. Cornwallis replied, “Let us not dwell on what should be, let us make do with what is.” I think that many people really do dwell on what they think they need, but life is not perfect as all champions know, but somehow in all this imperfection around them, champions continue to perform and make the best of what they have.
So many Realtors before they start the farm area want some level of assurance that this is the big ONE, that they will strike oil in, All I can tell you is, do what any prudent business, person or corporation does, do the research to see if it is viable, who your competition is and what’s their market share. Then make your decision quickly. The quicker you make it, the quicker you will find out if how much oil it will produce.
How about those, before prospecting for FSBO’S or expireds, they try to find that perfect script. Use what you have and you’ll perfect it. Here is my favorite it’s the one when I make some money I’ll get trained, Thank God, those licensees did not decide to go into medicine, they would be performing surgery before attending medical school. Go Get trained so you can make the money. I find it odd that they have not noticed that it is the people with the designations, and those attending seminars that are making most of the money. All the others who are waiting to make money before getting trained they get the leftover scraps. There is a saying “You must learn before you can earn.”
The point here is simple, stop making excuses, stop waiting for the perfect time as it will never come and just go do it!
