Contact Management


Most of us in the real estate profession usually figure out pretty early on in our career that our business is about making contact. So if making contact is what our business is about it makes good sense to have a contact management program. Agree? Good contact management programs are an easy and efficient way to keep our schedules yes our contacts names and addresses and to be able to automate our scheduled calls and mailings. This leads us to greater productivity, which in turn leads to more dollars and better quality of life for us and our families.

Knowing this to be true, one would think that all agents would be using a good contact management program. Wouldn’t we? This may surprise you only a few do, and that’s usually the top 10-20% of Realtors. So the 80% that don’t use it and, knowing this is what the successful do, why do so few use contact management software? Author John Maxwell would say just chalk it up to mysteries of the mind as to why people choose not to follow the paths of the successful.

I personally use Top Producer and have used it for at least 10 years. I find that it has all the components, from automated mailing, yes does include email to flyers and postcards to an easy to understand and professional listing presentation with CMA capabilities. Now I ‘m not saying Top Producer is for everyone but, it is a contact management program that will organize your life, if you use it, that’s the key guys USE IT. Most boards in SE Florida offer multiple training classes on the system, and I guess they do that because it’s so popular.
