Time and Money

Time is the only thing that once spent can never be regained it moves in one direction only. As real estate agents all we have is “our” time, and only you can choose what to do with it. The more wisely we choose the more profitable we become, don’t allow others to set your schedule, or they will control “Your” time not you.

Most successful Realtors are very busy; they typically delegate many of the daily tasks. The question to ask yourself, who I need to meet and who can my assistants handle? Figure out what your time is worth per hour, is it more than I could reasonably pay someone to drop off and pick up my dry cleaning? Put a lockbox on, pick up checks, or take photos.

The only area you get paid in is LEAD GENERATION also know as marketing, advertising and self promotion. The contacts these activities bring in lead to appointments, which turn into a sale, then a check. The more lead generation you do the more leads you have and so on which will lead to more and more checks.

Rhonda Hamilton in her “2 Steps Towards Spending Time Wisely” Writes, "We all have the same amount of time in a day--24 hours." It's not the amount of time that we have that counts, it's what we do within that amount of time counts--how we spend our time--how we manage to get what we want."?

"Time is a perishable resource." We all spend time." Once the day ends, it is gone forever---we can never get it back." Some people manage to accomplish more than others within their 24-hour days." Are they better managers of time? The answer to that question is, "No!" They do NOT manage time, because time cannot be managed!" We cannot manage time, we can only manage ourselves." To achieve more, we must learn to manage the way we use/spend our time." Rather than managing time, we need to concentrate on spending time wisely." Spending time wisely means using the time we have in the most effective ways to accomplish our desired results.

Author John Maxwell says that 20% of what you do creates 80% of your income. So spend your time wisely lead generating for that is where you’ll get the greatest return on your time investment.
