Focused Energy

Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward write in there book Launching a Leadership Revolution, that Cycles of Achievement comes from focus. When I first got into real estate my Manager Jean Kachik always use to say “stay focused.” I must have heard it 100 times in my office.

Continuing on in their book they quote Alexander Graham Bell who said “Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.” The old magnifying glass trick we did when we were kids. Performers accomplish so much because they bring all their energies to bear upon a single point of interest. Sooner or later, obstacles and roadblocks have to crumble under the intensified weight of focused energy.

Performers focus on what is important now, they specialize, are never a jack of all trades. To become a performer the things you are not so good at in life must go, so you can focus on what is truly important and at which you excel in.

You rarely see the performer in real estate having on their business cards residential, commercial, land, business opportunities Or, as I see on some attorney’s cards, family law, wills and probate, bankruptcy, divorce and whatever else there is room for on the card. I immediately know upon seeing those cards regardless of profession, I know they have not mastered any one of those areas listed on their cards. If I really need an expert, I shall not find it in them.

Specialize focus on that area and you will become a recognized Master in that area of your professional life and you’ll be sought after by those who need your expertise.
