The road to success is defiantly less traveled the further you make your way down it, and that is for the most part because of under estimating the time it will take to arrive, the pot holes, the break downs and road blocks you will encounter along the way.
To achieve success perseverance is a must, one individual will have encountered numerous obstacles, while another has encountered only a few, but yet the second individual is in a sweat, stressed, out hyperventilating, and wants to quit. Why? Probably due to several reasons, such as underestimating the time the journey will take, which is the number one reason for failure. If you under estimate the time it will take it is like running out of gas along the highway. Imagine you’re a boater and you are planning a trip to the Virgin Islands, doesn’t it make sense to know how many days it will take to get there, and based on the number of people on the boat how much food, water and fuel you will need to take with you on the trip? Otherwise you’ll end up overdue and missing. Not Good.
Another reason is many people are not quite sure what their success target really is or where it is, is it monetary, or time, or another reason? You need to identify your destination before you set out, or you’ll just wonder around out there. If your destination does not excite you before you set out don’t, you’ll mope and find every distraction along the way to stop at, like going on a trip to visit that dreaded in-law.
So here are a few recommendations to get to your destination Success, know where and what it is. Know the distance and time needed, plan for what maybe long your route. This will include starting out with a full tank, that’s the cash with some in reserve. Make conservative estimates of what your cash flow will be along the way; you don’t want to run out of gas, know where the pit stops are. The most important of this planning make sure the destination is exciting, imagine you taking your six year old to Disney and the car breaks down, I doubt very much that his excitement will die with the engine. So be excited, stay enthused and keep your eye on destination Success and you will arrive without being frazzled.
