I have often said and often heard people say as they get into middle age, that's 35 if you weren’t sure, I would love to be their age, referring to a young child and know what I know now. Well we can be young and know what the older and wiser know. Books, read them, and lot’s of them. Just read and learn from those who have gone before us, read what they have written and we will close the gap in the department of Knowledge. Try reading 1 hour a day and when, in the car turn the radio off and put in the audio book. In a few years you will be surprised at what you know and how you have grown as a person.
So below I give you both the biblical and secular views on wisdom. Both agree it moves man forward; they just differ on the prize.
Proverbs 24:3-6
3 By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; 4 through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. 5 A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength; 6 for waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers.
Teddy Roosevelt
A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car; but if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad.
